Days Inn Motels #5

By: Michael Russell

Article Word Count: 429

Days Inn motels are one of my favorite motel chains. Cheap, clean, and seemingly everywhere, I find myself using Days Inn motels are a regular basis. They have an easy to use website that can help you find a specific motel somewhere ahead of time, and almost always have some good deals.

While theyre not exactly destination resorts, if you are on the go and just need a place to crash for the night, a Days Inn motel is ideal. Whenever Im on an extended road trip, Days Inn motels are usually among the first I look for in terms of making a reservation. If my trip is more on the unexpected and spontaneous side and I havent made reservations anywhere, I still often find that the Days Inn chain is a reliable way to go in a lot of locations. There seems to be at least one Days Inn in every town or city with more than 20,000 people in it in the entire US, and there usually is space free.

While theyre often marketed for people just passing through, or on business trips, Days Inn motels are certainly pleasant enough to stay in on a vacation as well. They arent the kinds of lodgings that you want to just hang around in all day being lazy, but if youre on vacation chances are you dont really want to stick to your motel anyway. Ive always thought of motels and hotels as just a place to crash at night, and I try and do as much as I can during the day when on vacation. If Im in Hawaii or some place tropical, for example, Id much rather lay around on some exotic beach than by some hotel pool, no matter how nice and luxurious the pool is. If Im in Europe or some other country, I dont want to be anywhere near my hotel until its time to crash; theres far too much to see.

To my knowledge, Days Inn motels are in Mexico, Canada, India, China, and some parts of Europe and Africa, as well as the US. If youre going to any of these places and need an affordable yet clean place to stay, its worth looking into the Days Inn motel chain. There are some other good chains as well, like Holiday Inn, or Best Western, which are pretty much the same thing. If a luxurious hotel room is important to you, well then youll probably hate those chains.
